David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
