Ex- Physician Accused of Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor stands accused of carrying out assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
The Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
Breakdown of Offences
The charging documents said the 45 charges he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
